Handpainted collage on canvas

Part of the Other People’s Houses series. A series of work about the buildings that shape us.

In this piece, the building you see is obviously not someone’s true home. But, you only know that because I have shown you that is just a facade. I think that so many people hide behind this grand appearance, be it physical or persona, without letting anyone know who they really are or why they live life one way in the spotlight and another when no one is watching.

Each of these new pieces contain a home of someone else. Many of these are actual places where people have lived, or spent time. Others symbolize emotions tied to the concept of home, some are dream homes, and some represent personality traits inherited from one's upbringing.
